I decided to do a self portrait. We never see ourselves the way others do. Artist throughout history have painted themselves leaving behind little facts about themselves. There is more to a portrait than just a picture.

you did such a wonderful job! I was actually working on a self portrait with charcoal recently, and it was probably the most difficult piece I’ve ever completed. There’s just something so revealing about doing a self portrait–I can’t describe it in words.
I wholeheartedly agree with your statement of how “There is more to a portrait than just a picture”.
