Please could anyone give me a few names of modern(ish) portrait artists that i could use for my art coursework?

look up the bp portrait award – there are loads there then choose the ones you like!

   Chuck Close would be great to start with. DeKooning, Giacometti, Kiefer, are all 20th century modern artists.
