Should Canada have a Portrait Gallery? ?

The Conservatives just cancelled the plans for one!
It would create jobs with construction and tourism–modern business wants to be in places that embrace culutre and art.

What I am getting here is this:
We just blew $300M on a pointless election to boost an idiot’s ego. That idiot now has to find a way to make himself look smart and worth this waste, so he cancels plans to add a little culture to our lives and to the tourists who come here.
Short term, the construction and associated businesses can suffer more unemployment. And the idiots who voted this idiot into power sees nothing idiotic about it and the reasons.

They have to start teaching logic in schools again!

It would be nice to have but there are a lot of other things we need more. With the anticipated recession, pictures come pretty far down the list of necessities.

Why should I as a tax payer have to pay for a useless portrait gallery?

If someone is interested in making one.. they should do it on their own time without my money.

I think that would be cool. But I agree, our situation does not really allow unnecessary money spending. But then again, you are right it would make jobs. I don’t know. What are liberals saying?

    That’s what this non-Conservative thinks.
