    This seems like a very awkward and complicated way to go about drawing a portrait, or anything for that matter. And it seems very open to guess work which the beginning artist with no training would make bad guesses at.

    If you really want to learn how to draw go look up Andrew Loomis’s books as an excellent place to start.
