i was just wondering if there is someone from Ireland (possibly galway) that is really good at painting portraits on a canvas. it is for a gift. the painting will be of three children.
I am not from Ireland but I am a portrait artist who would consider painting for you. I would just like the fact that I would have my paintings hanging in Ireland and my commission fees would be more than reasonable…

You should send a request to any of the art colleges in the area – there’s one in Galway, and one in Limerick – and you will probably get something there.
Be prepared to pay upwards of €500.

Unfortunately, you are a few years too late for me. I gave up portraiture as I found it too demanding and too much for my health. In demand for my skills, I used to work against hecticallly tight deadlines: birthdays, weddings, baptismals, valentine, etc.
Best of luck with finding a portraitist.
